What is 'CITYbyCITY' ?

CitybyCity was developed to help encourage unity, prayer and transformation throughout Aotearoa-New Zealand.

Currently - CitybyCity has stepped into a time of Recess, prayerfully awaiting God's specific direction and purpose for 2024 and beyond.

Specifically, the focus has been the city by city approach. Seeking to strengthen local leaders in faith, hope and love. Identifying with and blessing that which the Father is doing in each place. Plus encouraging and supporting leaders who had taken responsibility for the Presence of God in their city or town.

A key scripture is: Zechariah 8:21 “The people of one city shall go to another saying “Let us pray before the Lord – and seek the Lord of Hosts.”

^^ Tomtit's are exceedingly fearless - even known to alight on the shoulder of a traveller.

City by City is based on relationships.

As invitations were received, a group of recognised leaders from other cities and towns, who identify with the ‘one church of the city’ concept, came alongside the local leaders for a day, to:

• Worship together
• Encourage vision and faith
• Draw out the story and of God at work in their city/town.
• Pray for that city/town and minister to the leaders
• Share the theology of ‘city church’.

Other scriptures are:

• Luke 10  --  Jesus sent his disciples into towns + cities.
• Isaiah 62:10  --  Prepare the way of the Lord.
• Jeremiah 29:7  --  Seek the welfare of the city where you are placed.
• Ephesians 4:3  --  Keep the unity of the Spirit.
